I am absolutely delighted with the service I received from the team at pampered paws. This was the first time I have ever had my dog, Waffles, hair cut and as she is an unusual cross breed (corgipoo) I was reluctant to get her hair cut as I didn’t know how she would look. Well she looks fabulous and much cooler in this warm weather. The team were so good with her, playing with her and giving her treats so that she was at ease. I wouldn’t use any other dog groomer. Thank you for your great service

Been taking my dog Chico here for the last few years now. Always do a great job. When i drop my dog into the groomers he always gets over excited and barks, and he sometimes doesnt get on too well with other dogs as hes been attacked a few times so i was worried at first. But when i go to pick him up he always seems so chilled and is lying down beside other dogs. Wouldnt go anywhere else. I know im leaving my beloved pooch in safe hands .

Absolutely fantastic treatment and cut for Murphy, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, his coat is beautiful and smells gorgeous! He will definitely be back, the ladies were amazing with him as it was his first visit and he can be slightly nervous of strangers but went in wagging his tail!! I cannot fault in any way!! I’ve been taking my staffy Karma here for years now for a bath and nails clipped, putting it nicely she is not easy to deal with – she screams like a banshee actually (does the same thing when travelling in any form of transport) but this never bothers any of the staff everyone of them are always really helpful and look after Karma. I wouldn’t trust anywhere else and would highly recommend. I told my sister about here are she also takes her dog Mia now too.

We can not recommend Arlene n staff highly enough. Her professionalism has proven 3 separate groomers wrong! They said our year old standard schnauzer was ungroomable. Indeed, before we met Arlene we had to have our dog anaesthetised and shaved by the vet!! Our dog now accepts grooming from Arlene without any fuss at all now. Arlene organised a good few familiarisation sessions for the dog and is so patient and kind towards her. Thanks Arlene …… do not know what we’d do without your sterling service.

As a Animal Behaviour Training Council (ABTC) Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist, I am often asked to assist caregivers who have difficulty with grooming their own dog, or whose pets are not able to be groomed by a professional groomer or examined by a vet. Often the dogs dislike of being handled or groomed may be attributed to heavy handed techniques being used when the dog was a puppy. It is rarely the caregivers fault…I always advise my clients to choose their groomer wisely, which questions to ask and how to spot stress in their dog; importantly to remove their dog if need be.

I met Arlene when she attended my dog classes with one of her own pets; impressed by her compassion and patience I then asked her to work with a caregiver whose dog had to be sedated by a vet before grooming. Arlene worked slowly  with that dog and a trust bond was established. Since then, I have recommended Arlene to other clients and their worried dogs. Unlike many groomers, Arlene knows how to cut hair properly and thus dogs who have a fear of clippers can still be groomed.
